“Well-run with really great hygienist and dentists. The front staff and billing dept are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous (a rarity in DC). My hygienist is Raquel and she is fantastic – cleanings never hurt and she is very gentle. Dr. Telis is a great dentist who actually gets to know his patients. This is the only dentist I’ve ever been to where they check things like the symmetry of your bite and extensively explain everything – they go the extra mile to make patients happy and keep their teeth in top condition.”

“I moved to DC in ’94 and had trouble finding as good of a dentist that I had in my youth. I started working at a new office in ’01 and nearly everyone in that office went to the Washington Center For Dentistry. I went once and was hooked. They know what they are doing. They are professional, know what they are doing, and are always learning about new techniques and new ideas to keep teeth in good condition. As long as I continue to live here, Dr. Deutsche and my hygienist will be who cleans my teeth. It’s a relaxing experience (I actually enjoy going to their dentist office!?!) and I think of them as friends who I catch up with every 6 months. They are great people to work with.”

“I can only describe Dr. Matin?s approach to dental implants as refined. Throughout the entire process for my fourth implant, Dr. Matin and his staff provided excellent professional service and truly supported me as the patient throughout procedures ranging from extraction to implant to follow-up. The difference between my first three implant procedures and my recent one performed by Dr. Matin is tangible in that he succeeded in making invasive procedures seem minimally invasive! I believe his office administrative staff are the best I?ve ever dealt with, providing me with the documentation I needed for insurance purposes and proactively contacting me as needed. I highly recommend Dr. Matin for extraction or implant needs! Treatment Length with Dr. Matin: 1-1/2 years.”

“As a recent transplant to the area, I’ve been dreading the eventual visit to the dentist. Alas, it was time. I had no idea where to turn to find a decent dentist so THANKS AGAIN YELP for pointing me to this practice. My apointment was yesterday and I couldn’t wait to YELP about it. This is the best dental practice I have ever been too. Top notch all the way. I don’t really know how to describe it other then, I wasn’t sure if I was in a dental office or a spa. Awesome. I flaked and forgot to fill out the forms online so I was totally expecting to have to spend another 20 minutes filling out paper forms, wasting my time, but NO! They have free internet and computers you can use OR they handed me the Ipad to do it on. Pretty SWEET! Once the forms were filled out, I got the tour (YES, A TOUR!) and then was guided to my dental tech. I still wasn’t sure I wasn’t also getting a massage. The dental tech was great. Professional, personably and kind. She also really seemed to like her job and the place she worked which is also a nice change from my last dentist who didn’t even HAVE a tech to do cleanings and xrays. She asked alot of questions and while I do not have any dentist nightmares of lore, I can rest assured it will stay that way for a long time! Pretty sure this is my dental practice for life, even if I move. The only catch, which I can imagine is hard for many people, is that you pay upfront and get reimbursed by your insurance. I’m ok with that but I don’t know many people who can be out that cash up front. I would recommend saving your pennies though, this dentist is TOTALLY WORTH IT.”

“I have had two extractions with subsequent implants done by Dr. Matin, with very good success in both instances. He explains each procedure very well and works with an extremely light hand which makes for as pleasant an experience as possible. In addition, he and all of his staff has very pleasant and professional manners. The office is well appointed and technically up to date. I would highly recommend Dr. Matin. Treatment Length with Dr. Matin: 6 years.”

“I have a mild dentist phobia stemming from more than a couple bad experiences with cavities and teeth-pulling as a child. This place has soundly squashed all my dentist fears. From the second I walked in, I was treated like I owned the place. My hygienist was fantastic. She was gentle, thorough, and very knowledgeable. Dr Telis was very friendly as well and he made me feel as if I had been his patient for years. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while (see above) and was prepared for the obligatory lecture about how I need to be seen every 6 months if I want healthy teeth. There was none of the lecturing I expected and, believe it or not, I can’t wait to go back for my next cleaning. I had no idea going to the dentist could be such a pleasant experience!”

“I have been Dr. Doctor’s patient for 2 years now. I was referred by a co worker, who highly recommended him. I trust his opinion 100%. He doesn’t try to sell you stuff. He tells me what I need and gives me other options but no pressure. I really enjoy going to his office. I’m very happy I found him Pros: friendly, honest staff and doctor Cons: parking, but I usually walk; hygienists vary in skill”

“This is a great dental office, I had a great cleaning done this morning – I mean I almost don’t want to eat it feels so darn good (and food is one of my greatest loves!) They are very thorough and friendly. The office is absolutely beautiful, serene like a spa with candles burning, wood paneling, and complimentary water and juice. I met with Dr. Yu and she was very intelligent and friendly. This was as pleasant an experience as you can hope for with a dentist, and I would recommend it to anyone!”

“He is absolutely fantastic. The best periodontist, dentist, doctor that I go to. He is very professional and mature in his diagnoses and treatment, very patient and definitely fantastic at what he does. He has performed gum surgery, crown and implants for me. You will not even know or feel any pains. The facility and people at their office are also all very nice and personable. I highly recommend him/them to all. Treatment Length with Dr. Matin: 12 years.”

“I was amazed with the professionalism of this practice. Dr. Matin and his staff made the precedure much easier than I had expected. The cost is in line with other specialists, however the level of care exceeded my expectation. About Hygienist: Dealing with Beth, the hygienist was also a pleasent experience. Everytime I go in for a visit, she takes her time and I can just feel the extra care that she take in cleaning my teeth and gum. Treatment Length with Dr. Matin: 2 years.”

“I agree with other posters, this place is 5-star dentistry (and don’t you deserve that?)! Compared to the dental office I visited last year (I believe it was called River House or something like that)- in a scary, subterranean basement of an apartment building, this place is like the Four Seasons. I loved it! (And who says that about the dentist)? The office is so nice and clean, everyone who works there is SUPER nice and friendly- no attitude here. I saw Dr. Gesker, who was very gentle and so friendly and super-nice. And ladies, he seemed like quite the catch to me. If I wasn’t married… Anyway, I digress, get thee to the Wash. Center for Dentistry and you will never go anywhere else again!”

“I never thought a trip to the dentist could make my day, but this one just did. First, the atmosphere is amazing: candles, earth tones, a fake aquarium, super friendly staff. They even gave me a little gift bag! Then the dentist I saw, Dr. Rinaldi, was fantastic. My permanent retainer had broken, and I was pretty worried about how it would feel when they were sanding down the concrete, but I didn’t feel any pain at all. Dr Rinaldi is so professional. I got the impression it was a very easy procedure for him, but he still took a lot of pride & care in his work. To top it off, it cost me the same price there as all the other dentists had quoted me. I will definitely be going there from now on. “

“They are very kind and courteous, they have water and juice at your disposal in the lobby. They even have computers with internet access for you to use while you wait. The Dentists are very kind, thorough, patient, and professional which being congenial. The best thing is that there was absolutely no pain! I have had to have my veneer reattached in the past and it no amount of Novocain would help. I don’t know if they are just magic or talented but I had no pain at all. In fact he shaped and helped the aesthetics of the veneer at no extra cost. Speaking of costs, it was extremely affordable. Despite the fact that they had to do extra work, they honored the price they quoted me on the phone! I couldn’t believe it! I have never encountered this in my life. So I have to say whenever I’m in the DC area I will never go to another dentist!”
