About Dr. Katsaros
Dr. Michael Katsaros is highly regarded for excellence in all aspects of general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, including crowns, veneers and implants, as well as treatment for TMJ, snoring and Sleep Apnea. Dr. Katsaros is dedicated to providing advanced dentistry at the highest and most comprehensive level, with particular attention to the connection between oral health and body health. “Now that scientific research has proven that bad bacteria living in our mouths invade bone and tissue and travel in the bloodstream, causing inflammation—we are committed to protocols and therapies that help prevent oral bacteria from harming heart health and brain health,” says Dr. Katsaros.
Working to stay at the forefront of today’s cutting edge techniques in dentistry, Dr. Katsaros is a life-long student of implementing the latest technological advances in his every day practice. “I am committed to providing each patient the warm and friendly experience they deserve,” he says. “I take seriously their expectation that I hold myself to the highest standards—to improve and preserve their health, function and esthetics.”
Specialties and Skills
Dr. Katsaros is especially known for his expertise in cosmetic enhancements with veneers, gum-line lifting and reshaping. Patients seek out his signature smile-design techniques—using complex facial-proportion measurements, high-tech laser and 3-D imaging to create a one-of-a-kind smile for each patient. “It is my greatest joy on the day of a big reveal when a patient says: “This is even better than the smile I always dreamed of! It looks like me—but so much better!”
He is also sought after for his expertise in implant dentistry, root canal therapy and treating patients with snoring and sleep-breathing disorders. Special clinical training in sleep and TMJ management has added to his skills in designing comfortable oral removable devices to treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, often eliminating the need to use a CPAP machine during sleep. In addition, Dr. Katsaros is a highly regarded Invisalign-certified dentist.
Education and Training
Dr. Katsaros is a graduate of Villanova University and received his summa cum laude DMD degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He completed the highly regarded General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. In addition, he has completed extensive training in Cosmetic and Bio-function Dynamic Smile Rehab, improving and re-calibrating a person’s posture, and advanced tooth movement through orthodontics that actually mimic the natural development of bone and dentition.
As an experienced clinician, Dr. Katsaros is among a group of elite dentists at the forefront of treating patients with sleep apnea and eliminating debilitating symptoms. Advanced training also maintains Dr. Katsaros as a top-level Invisalign-certified dentist. Hundreds of his patients are the happy recipients of dazzling, straighter new smiles—all achieved with Invisalign’s gentle tooth-movement technology. Completing an acclaimed General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, he received training from some of the most advanced dentists in the world.
